MOUNTAIN GORILLA POPULATION INCREASES BY ONE

There is a new born in Nkuringo family. On Saturday 5th December,, trackers reported that Mama Xmas has a new baby believed to have been born on 1st December 2009. The new baby (sex not yet ascertained) has been named Kiiza which means 'the one following twins'. Mama Xmas had twins in 2005 though one of the twins died three days later. The new born fathered by either Rafiki or Safari increases the number of individuals in Nkuringo family to 20. Details of the new baby will be updated on this site regularly.
